This warning mesh, which includes a stainless-steel wire incorporated into the mesh, is placed above the network and connected together with watertight connectors (cable end lugs and thermo-retractable sleeves).
The warning mesh is detected by passing an electric current through the stainless-steel wire.
It is then simple to detect this signal from the surface using an appropriate appliance such as the 3M Dynatel TM locator and identify the position and depth of the network.
Attention! The installation conditions for the detectable warning mesh have an influence on the network detection accuracy class (A, B or C). See by-law of February 15th, 2012 relative to works carried out in close proximity to buried networks.
